Description: This is a classroom-based skills course designed to prepare the prospective fireline supervisor to undertake safe and effective fire management operations. It is the third course in a series that collectively serves to develop fire behavior prediction knowledge and skills.

Description: This course is designed to prepare the student for utilizing topographic maps for wildland firefighting and technical search and rescue.  The course covers: Topographic map reading, rectangular land description system, latitude and longitude identification, UTM, map symbology, cartography, bearing and triangulation, intro to GPS, AVENZA, and field exercise. This course follows NWCG PMS 475 and Map and Compass curriculum, and is an ideal starting point for students preparing to be a Single Resource Boss, including  Field Observer/Display processor, Fireline EMT etc.

Description: This is a combined classroom/field course designed to provide student proficiency in all areas of the tactical and logistical use of helicopters to achieve efficiency and standardization.  Topics include aviation safety, aircraft capabilities and limitations, aviation life support equipment, aviation mishap reporting, pre-flight checklist and briefing/debriefing, aviation transportation of hazardous materials, helicopter operations and field exercise.
